# Fixing engagement issues

- Keep questions relevant to the job role and keep them fresh. It doesn’t require regular extensive changes; small improvements are all it needs!
- Communicate to your user base. Highlight high performers and follow up with low engagers
- Utilise the Nelly Factor report to bring competitiveness and run team-based leader boards to Clever Nelly
- You can choose to reward users for high performance using our Golden Ticket functionality. You set the parameters and choose when to introduce it. This initiative will not fix an engagement problem in isolation of other changes.
- Switch to points-based scoring for a different type of Clever Nelly experience. This method allows a user to earn points through answering questions correctly and aim for a ‘score’, removing the potential deflation of your score % dropping. This initiative will not fix an engagement problem in isolation of other changes.
- Check whether team leaders are also not engaging or logging in to their team dashboard
- Ask employees why they are not engaging
